Herd Sires
|
Every once in a while a great, great bull comes along;
we feel it has happened in 417P. Not only was he Cooper's high selling
bull but he is also sired by the exciting 212M ($54,000 Cooper sale
topper) and the awesome 0112 cow ($36,000 Cooper Cow Sale Topper). This
bull is extremely long, packed full of muscle, highly pigmented and has
the style and eye appeal we look for. He posted outstanding numbers with
a 119 REA and 122 IMF ratios and has a pedigree full of great producing
cows. Dam 0112 is truly a fault free cow with a perfect udder. Her
offspring have an average REA ratio of 108 and an IMF ration of 107.
Coopers flushed her and they have two outstanding daughters in the herd. |

218 is definitely one of the best bulls we have raised.
He is a phenomenal calving ease bull whose calves have great vigor. He
sires growth and thickness. His offspring are trim fronted, wide topped
and have a lot of style and balance. 218’s breed leading .31 REA sets
him apart. His offspring have a 109 REA ratio and 100 IMF ratio. 218 has
been used both spring and fall since he was a yearling by us and JBN and
he always stays in good shape. Look at the top calves in the sale by
him, they stand out. His daughters look tremendous, we have kept every
one. Dam 011 is a foundation cow by 5101 ($22,500 top selling Cooper
bull) and the great 336 cow. She sold to Jerry Brinks, IA, where she had
another powerful bull calf and is in their ET program. We retained her
only daughter. |

One of the most complete bulls we ever raised or used. He is a thick made, deep sided 9126 son by a great donor cow 6154. His first calf crop
was outstanding siring a lot of length, thickness and eye appeal. We retained a son, 842, we feel is one of the best bulls we’ve raised. 655 was
bred to be a top female sire and his first daughters look awesome with a lot of length, volume, style, and balance. |

|
A real herd bull in the making. A top calving ease 9126J son that puts meat, correctness and eye appeal in his calves. 3138 was a thick made, neat fronted bull with length and balance. Nine of the eleven reported EPDs of 3138 rank in the top 25% of the breed with especially strong, balanced carcass traits. We lost this top sire after his first breeding season, but we will continue to use him A.I. and we have kept a son. |

If you need a herd bull with muscle, mass and do-ability with a pedigree full of great individuals, look 311 over. Great genetics, tremendous performance with a flawless structure makes 311 a sure bet. Dam, 1134, is an elite first calf heifer with a 113 WR on this Calf. She is a full sister to our 2002 top sellers 101, 116, 1124 and 1135 that sold to top registered breeders. |

|
One of our 2007 high sellers that sires a lot of trimness, frame, length and thickness.
Individually, he was a top performer and he is passing this on to his offspring. His
sire, 373, produced many high sellers for Holden and his dam is a top 7046 daughter
backed by two donor cows. A lot of maternal strength and performance behind this
top young sire. |

An older proven Cooper bull with a different pedigree for our program. He
is by 8093 and 874, a member of a royal flush that produced herd bull 888 for
Cooper’s, and donor cows 875, 876, and 8104. 0152 is a an easy calving sire that
sires extra length. He is a trait leader for IMF and all four dollar indexes. We feel
he will be a top female sire, so far all his daughters have ratioed 101. |

|
A thick made, stout L1 Domino 03396 son by a top 9126 daughter. He sires a
lot of substance, mass and width. We are really high on 6105 and we will have
many more calves next year. He is a performance bull with top carcass numbers,
yet his females are feminine and smooth made. |

Cooper’s 2006 top seller and has become a calving ease bull that sires tremendous
performance. His calves have a lot of width, thickness and eye appeal. His dam, 258, is a
super donor cow who’s maternal and ET sons have been high sellers for Coopers every
year. 590 also sired Cooper’s 2008 high seller at $50,000. We own an interest in a 590 son
and another son by the 258 cow that we bred our heifers to. |

|
A long patterned, deep ribbed 3138 herd sire by a fabulous 484 daughter with three daughters in the herd. We have retained her 2008 son, 842, for a herd sire.
521 sires a lot of performance, volume and thickness. His daughters are what we feel cows should look like. They are special with size, width and a lot of total volume. |

We feel 842U is one of the best bulls we have raised. He is one of the first sons of the 655 bull that we are really high on. His dam, 310, is a tremendous cow also being the mother of our 521 herd sire. Some of our very best cows and cow families are in 842’s pedigree. We have pictured him here for you to see and we plan on really using him hard in our program. We would consider selling an interest in this great young prospect. |

|
A great foundation sire of calving ease and milk. 501's influence is strongly felt in our herd. He has sired some of the breed's elite females. He was the top selling bull in Cooper's 1986 sale for $25,000 and he was still breeding cows at 13 years of age. He was truly one of the greatest bulls we've ever used and he was bred to be maternal with two of Cooper's best cow lines backing him. |

|
Truly this genetic giant is one of the greatest female sires we have ever used. His daughters consistently wean our heaviest calves and his sons are big, stout, long made herd bull prospects. He sure has some top sons, plus his daughters have top prospects. 414B on our L1 cows sure made a fabulous cross. |
